Summer 2025 Recap

Summer seems so far away now… but we never did a proper of 2025 so here we go…

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, helped, hosted, performed, volunteered, financed or just came by to say hi. 💛

This past season we somehow pulled off:

🌿 Nature + action: a biodiversity workshop, a herbogily workshop, a biosivierty community photo hunt, new biodiversity gardens, larger existing ones and even a phragmites removal day. We say sakes and hummingbires, we saw more bees thanever!
🎶 Big community moments: Porchfest (!!), multiple Darwin street parties, a Canada Day potluck, four commuinty happy hours, Little Mentors with Rosie, Nuns’ Island first Terry Fox run (we raised over $5000!) and tons of new friendships.
🧘 Wellness + connection: group meditations, family dance, a women’s circle, sound bowl sessions, and community happy hours (including a great partnership night with La Petite Station / APV).
💃 Pure fun: a family dance, co-hosting a picnic dansant iwth Taha and Nada, and yes… a Beyblade tournament co-hosted with Francis and Camillo.
🎧 Local stories: we launched the community podcast and recorded a few awesome episodes withYouma, priest and Rosie s.

Looking back, it’s kind of wild how much happened — and it only worked because people participated.
